What trading platform do you use? Maybe if what appears on the platform is only a grid without displaying prices or charts, it is possible that the trading platform connection with the broker's server is not connected properly so that the data feed cannot be received and new orders cannot be opened because it is not connected to the broker's server.
You question is a little too general. Showing a screenshot could help. Anything that is displayed on the chart can be configured and adjusted but we need to know which platform you are using.
